19 April 2010

Greetings from Papua New Guinea (PNG).

I am from Cincinnati, Ohio and have been living in PNG since 1996. My wife and I manage a Bible translation project among the Mato people, one of PNG’s nearly 900 language groups. We do linguistics, translation, literacy, medical work and community development with this small language group of 600 people. The organization we volunteer with in PNG is SIL. Our sponsor organization in the USA is Wycliffe Bible Translators.

My hobbies are quite varied, depending on the location I am in. I enjoy woodworking, cycling, photography, camping, hiking and computers. I left a job as a systems engineer automating experiments in a pharmaceutical laboratory to proclaim the Lord’s message of grace among the nations in their heart language.

If you are expecting a direct reply QSL card, please supply a self addressed envelope (SAE) and payment for return postage (sufficient postage affixed to the envelope, $1 US "green stamp", or an IRC). QSL card requests without these items will be filled via the bureau.

eQSL/LoTW

I will endeavor to upload my log to eQSL and LoTW about twice a year. My poor internet connection does not allow me to spend time checking on individual QSL’s.

My last eQSL upload was on 29-Apr-2010. My last LoTW upload was on 22-Jul-2008.

Direct/Bureau

Please do not send me QSL cards direct. Sometimes I do not get my mail for 3 months and postage is very expensive here. Also, I do not have any QSL cards on hand. Your direct QSL card will just get forwarded to the QSL manager.

Please do not use the bureau to Papua New Guinea. The bureau here is closed. If you wish to QSL via the bureau, route your request to NI5DX.
